Municipal Codes

Colorado cities and towns pass their own laws called Ordinances.

Where to Find Municipal Ordinances

To find municipal ordinances you can:

  • Click on the link in the section below.
  • Check with your city or town government for the available copy of its code. Or
  • Visit the Colorado Supreme Court library for free access to an electronic municipal code database.

Not all city ordinances have a link included at the above site. You can google the city name and ordinances to find cities not included above. 

For ex. Sugar City, CO is not included on the list but can be found here: Sugar City Municipal Code

Once there you can click on the code book to read the city ordinances.
