Step 1 - Can You Make the Request?
- The Protective Order has been in place at least 2 years.
- Or, it has been two years since your last request.
- You do not have a criminal record of violating the Order.
Step 2 - Criminal History Reports
- Get a criminal history report within 90 days of filing.

Step 3 - Fill Out the Paperwork
- Forms to Fill Out:
- Form 1 - Request to End the Protective Order - JDF 397 (PDF-Fillable).
- Attach the Criminal History Reports to the Motion.
- Label the report "Attachment 1" in the lower right corner of the first page.
- Form 2 - Order Ending the Protection Order - JDF 415 (PDF-Fillable)
- Fill out just the case caption of this form
- Form 1 - Request to End the Protective Order - JDF 397 (PDF-Fillable).

Step 4 - Deliver the Paperwork to the Court
- Deliver the paperwork to the clerk's office in the court that ruled on your case.
- Find the address of a county court using the court finder.
- There is not a filing fee for this motion.
- The clerk will schedule the hearing to discuss your request.
Step 5 - Formally Deliver the Paperwork to the Petitioner
